Pabst China Gets Classy With Blue Ribbon 1844.

Pabst Blue Ribbon at $44 a bottle?!? What’s that all about? Brewed by Blue Ribbon Breweries in China (our partner there), Blue Ribbon 1844 is a special high-gravity ale that is all malt, featuring caramel malts from Germany. The initial aging is dry-hopped heavily and then goes through a secondary aging in new, uncharred American oak whiskey barrels. The world-famous spirit also features its own built-in champagne-style flute so you can still serve up this extraordinary brew, even when you can’t find a clean glass.  So put your best suit or dress on, get rid of that bottle of Ketel One, and pour yourself some 1844.  If not – you can still find the classic Blue Ribbon in Milwaukee, China, and points between.
