Pabst Blue Ribbon is a great brew! I’m 53 yrs.old and have been drinking beer for 38 yrs. Too many people feel you have to be seen with the more well known label beers than the less popular brands. I buy a product because I like it, not to be trendy, and Pabst is on my list of beers that I truly enjoy. BTW, Pabst is not the least expensive on my list of quality beers I enjoy. Perhaps Pabst will consider marketing their quality products in a cost effective manner that wouldn’t reflect in an increased price to it’s customers.

We just got PRB on tap here in Austin, and I must say, it was well worth the wait. Great out of the can or bottle, but even better on tap. Do yourself a favor, head down to the Possee East by UT, and get a pint and burger.

7-5-10 Had to go a 4th of July with out PBR. My stores here in Hoover, Alabama either can not get it and for damn sure do not allow space in the beer cooler area to put more of their products. I have been drinking this beer from the time I was in Korea 1963-1965, and still am, and will till I kick the bucket.

PBR is simply the best balanced beer on the market. The fact it’s available in bottles and is affordable seals the deal. Please don’t change the recipe because others will come and go, but the genuine PBR has staying power.

I am 49 and have been drinking PBR since its return. My wife thinks its a low class beer but thats her problem. My son was playing in a hockey tournament with a bunch of boys from California. The parents are in the entertainment field of course. I was talking to one dad who is a big shot at Sony pictures and votes on the Oscars. We were talking beer and he said when he worked in Iowa he loved drinking PBR. I piped up and said “well I have a 30 pack in the Excursion on ice” so here we are in the hotel parking lot drinking PBR in Downers Grove Illinois. Growing up we had Blatz,PBR,Falstaff,Meister Brau, Strohs and Fox Deluxe in the beer fridge.The article in 9-20 issue of Bloomberg Businessweek was AWESOME!

I have been drinking PBR for about fifteen years now,used to have to get it in the states and bring it back to Ontario. Back then nobody knew what I was drinking. Now lots of people here drink it and they all comment on the good taste. Even some of the colleges are buying kegs for their parties. Great name and Great beer.

For anyone living near Detrot Mi looking for Champale,You can get it at bernie`s party store 39920 Garfield Clinton Twp 48038 PH 586 416-6000,the 24 oz bottle of extra dry is $2.89 and they have 4 packs of 12 oz bottles of the golden (to sweet for me )about $4.50 the bottles are not the same as they used to be so you will have to look close or better yet ask.They also have Colt 45 and a few other hard to find beers.

From 1967 through 1969 while stationed at Bellefontaine AFS, Ohio I believe wet drank and sold more PBR than any other brand. Thank goodness it is still produced. Still has that great PBR taste.

My favorite beer hands down! PBR is the most drinkable beer I’ve ever had. I consider PBR as “America’s Beer” now, ever since crappy Budweiser was bought out by the Germans and Brazilians. I love how PBR is making a comeback, and is being served in more and more bars.

well not a terrible tasting beer but not that good really. the bad thing is so many people are fooled into thinking its an all american beer. its owned by pabst,an american co. but its brewed by miller/coors brewery which are owned by molson of canada and s.a.b. south american brewers. coors and miller are the same co. now and are forien owned. but unless you buy a micro brew its about as close as you can get to a u.s. beer i guess. i think ill just stick to anheuser bush and enjoy the taste more. bottoms up.

PABST should bring back their Genuine Draft. They did a good job brewing it years ago, why they stopped, I`ll never know. Same goes for PABST BOCK, ANDEKER, and even PABST DARK.

In your product information paragraph for pbr I would eliminate the reference to corn syrup which has a negative imagine throughout your market. Also you mention it is finished to the likeness of a fine pislner, is that to say that it is not a fine pislner. Similarly, your verbage with regards to the light variety also makes reference to a fine lager without saying that it is indeed a fine lager. Come on guys, let’s try and sell your product!

Does you beer contain GMO Corn Syrup? I have always been a PBR drinker but I am might have to change my mind about this because of all the dangers I have been reading about with GM corn. Organ damage and I have read that animals that were eating GM corn were aborting their babies and worse. I don’t understand why you couldn’t just use a quality sugar, I mean you do claim to be a natural beer, but what is natural about GMO corn syrup. For those of you who don’t know what GMO means it is when you take a plant gene and cross it with a human gene, aninal gene (even rats), a bacteria or a virus. The reason they say they do this is so they can make better stuff and so they can pour round-up on it without killing the plant, just everything around it. When in fact this has been causing super weeds, crops are not better and now they are finding the BT poision that is growing in the corn in unborn fetuses. Not I don’t know about the rest of America, but this scares me.
Please let me know if your cory syrup is non-GMO..

So, been buying your beer for well over a year now, and was informed you dropped your % to 4.9 from 5.9%. We up here in Canada maintain at least a 5% unless it’s a light or Corona so why the change up?
PBR has been my favorite for years. You have to spend way more money to get better taste . Make sure that you guys stick to your roots and dont change a thing about your beer and I will drink it for eternity!!!

PBR isn’t a beer as much as it is an image of a beer. There is no Pabst brewery, for instance. The beer in the can is made at one of six Miller breweries around the country. There’s no real connection to the Pabst of the past. You’re buying into a label and some good marketing. Cool, but that’s really all it is.
Hey Wally – your Miller Lite cap on a PBR isn’t an omen of any kind. PBR is brewed at Miller breweries. You just got a bottle that ran through the line before they changed out all of the caps in the hopper.

I am 65 yrs old and have been drinking papst since a I was 18. They used to have teen bars in Wisconsin back then where you could only drink beer. If you did not want a papst do not even go. All they had was papst. They knew what the best beer made was.
I am a NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan so for years drank Budweiser, but when they sold out to a forign country brewer that was it for me. Still A JR fan but if it isn’t made in America I dont drink it, and PBR is America, Red,White&Blue.
This week I have purchased to seperate 12 packs of PBR. Both from different locations in my town. They both had a metal aftertaste. Not sure why, but did not hold up to regular taste of PBR.

Living in California now, and I used to be able to find Stroh’s at the local BevMo. No longer true. I’m told that Pabst Brewing acquired the brand. Any chance that Pabst still sells the fire-brewed gold in the San Francisco area? PBR is a pretty good alternative, but I love me some Stroh’s.
Dirty dirty cans of PBR tall boys. They are consistently delivered to my restaurant that way by Columbia Distributors in Portland, Oregon. Warehouse guy says it’s because of the pallets stored above. We’re tired of washing beer cans before we can sell them

When i accidentally ordered PBR on tap at my favorite watering hole, i was going to ask for a beer i thought was the best beer in the world,sierra nevada.. but when i mistakenly ordered PBR i was won over by the time it reached my lips! It’s the tastiest beer i’ve ever had, I don’t like strong hops or watered down beers. When you drink it it’s like thousands of feathers going down it’s just so smooth and gets you buzzed pretty quick. I love it!

We used to to have PBR on tap @ Laramie Lanes in Laramie , WY years ago when i tended. But still liked buying the yearly lot of bock PBR, not seen that for like 20 years. can’t find either in northern VA, or i just haven’t looked enough.

Man, I really love PBR. I either drink $12 six packs of imported beer, or PBR, and I honestly would prefer the Pabst. This weekend, though, I got a bad 12 pack and was really bummed. I woke up with the worst hangover of my life on five beers. I’ll probably still buy Pabst because I love it, but some quality control would be nice. I’ve never purchased a bad sixer of Warsteiner.

Good luck with that PBR owns Schlitz and I can’t get them to respond at all. We had Schlitz here up to about 4months ago now the distributor won’t carry it, going to Fl next month will load up down there.,

I really remember Andeker. In the mid to late 60s and early 70s (as I recall) the Gerst House in Nashville, Tennessee hand Andeker on tap. Boy was it good. Guess its just a memory now. Too bad.

I witnessed a terrible sight this past week. There was a bar that had been closed for years in my town. The building was vacant, but it still had the big Andecker beer sign out front. Someone must have bought the building , and now going to renovate. The work crew removed the Andecker Beer sign, and smashed it into pieces, so it would fit into the dumpster! I drove by probably just minutes too late to save the sign! The two workers were in their 20`s , and most likely have never even heard of Andecker, let alone drank it!

I used to drink pabst when it was brewed In pabst, ga. It was great back then. I noticed recently, after having not had my pbr in years. The first thing I noticed was the taste. Just did not have that old pizzazz. Then I looked up the ingrediants of pbr. Guess what? It is made with GMO corn syrup, and GMO corn. I lived through the 70’s and 80’s being called a red neck because I drank pbr cause it was good. I will not drink it now. To bad you people missed the real thing. I think it taste like horse piss.
